Made in Corby is organising Big Days In events at four Corby community centres on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5th October 2014.

To coincide with the national Fun Palaces weekend campaign – http://funpalaces.co.uk – these are free, one hour arts activities workshops and are being held at four community centres in Corby.

Made in Corby invites local residents to come along – for one session, or to stay for all of them! – different interactive arts activities will be on offer during the day, run by local Corby artists. The aim is for local people to come along, have fun, have a go, try something new.

Details of activities at each centre will be posted, as confirmed, on the Made in Corby page on Facebook and on Twitter @madeincorby.

Two centres running activities have been confirmed so far.

Simon Mutsaars, Executive Director of Groundwork Northamptonshire, leading the Made in Corby consortium explains,

“Following the huge success of our Big Summer Night Out event at Corby Town Football Club on 23rd August, we’re now developing our programme to get more local people than ever before involved in arts activities. These are informal sessions giving everyone a chance to try taking part in arts activities in their own community. These will be fun, interactive, run by local Corby artists, are free and are open to everyone.”
